Everyone knows someone struggling in some kind of way. You are a role model to so many people, even if you don’t realize it. Take someone under your wing. Show them the right way to do things.
The role model thing gets imposed on you by someone else. I don’t think that’s fair.
Blame and victim thinking are so ingrained into the fabric of our society it’s hard to find a role model anywhere who simply practices personal accountability in all things.
I try to be myself and, of course, be a good role model. I don’t really find it hard, but you think about what you do and that other people look up to you.

We usually look outside ourselves for heroes and teachers. It has not occurred to most people that they may already be the role model they seek. The wholeness they are looking for may be trapped within themselves by beliefs, attitudes, and self-doubt. But our wholeness exists in us now. Trapped though it may be, it can be called upon for guidance, direction, and most fundamentally, comfort. It can be remembered. Eventually we may come to live by it.
The best thing I could do is build a successful company and continue to innovate and be in the right role I want to be in. If I’m not doing that, I’m inauthentic. That’s not a good role model to anyone. That, to me, is the most important thing.

God only knows we need a great role model as a leader who is more leader than they are male or female, who is more about their mission that serves everyone than about ego and personal ambition that only serves them.
It’s sad but true that if you focus your attention on housework and meal preparation and diapers, raising children does start to look like drudgery pretty quickly. On the other hand, if you see yourself as nothing less than your child’s nurturer, role model, teacher, spiritual guide, and mentor, your days take on a very different cast.
When any of us thinks of ourselves as a role model – whether thats as a parent being observed by their kids or a leader under the microscope of their followers – it creates a natural stepping up of how we carry ourselves and what we expect from ourselves.
Each person must live their life as a role model for others.
