No human being should be a role model. We all have flaws.
I think it’s important for little girls growing up, and young women, to have one in every walk of life. So from that point of view, I’m proud to be a role model!

It’s my responsibility to help others. To be a positive example. I want to be a role model for others, to help others like me get a chance.
When you try to be a role model, not everybody can relate to some of your highs – awards, championships. But everybody can relate to the lows. Everybody’s gotten fired from a job or gotten cut. People learn more about you in those lows than they do in the highs.
I feel I am a role model to many, not just for my designs, but also for the fact that I started my own company with the help of my two friends. I became a success story, and people relate to that.
Being a role model is the most powerful form of educating.
