I think on some level, role models are overrated If you require a role model who looks just like you to be something you wanna be and you can’t find one, is that a reason to not be what you wanna be? No!
So many people have asked me how I could possibly be a role model and dress like a tramp and get implants… all I have to say is that self-esteem is how you look at yourself and I feel good enough about myself so wear that kind of clothing… the breast implant issue has nothing to do with that.

Mum’s always been a go-getter and passed on the same values to us. From starting her own supermarket to learning new things and staying updated on technology and applications, she’s always constantly learning and growing as a person. So, I didn’t have to look outside the house for a role model because my mum was right there, ambitious and driven.
I don’t think I was particularly in need of superheroes. I never had any fascination with Superman or Spider-Man or a Batman kind of character. If it happened at all, it was imagined characters that I had invented. My dad was a role model for me. He was a fascinating man. There was intrigue and entertainment growing up with him. But I want to pay tribute to Anna Lee Woodruff, an extraordinary, selfless woman and beautiful grandmother who in her quiet determined way was a role model for her two daughters, and who left a lasting impression on so many who knew her.
My job is to be a role model, and that’s what I want to do, but my job isn’t to be a parent. My job isn’t to tell your kids how to act or how not to act, because I’m still figuring that out for myself. So to take that away from me is a bit selfish. Hilary Duff has been my role model forever. I went to her concert like right when her music started coming out when I was probably like 11. I was just amazed by her. So now, to be compared to her, it’s like…holy moly. It’s so cool!
As a modern-day role model, I’d have to go for Tiger Woods. I’m also a massive Sachin Tendulkar fan.
